VISION

To see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.

MISSION

To lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.

VALUES

Our relationships will demonstrate steadfast commitment to Jesus Christ and His Word through Integrity, Serving, Teamwork and Excellence.

INTEGRITY • We will demonstrate Christ-like wholeness, privately and publicly. (Proverbs 11:3)

SERVING • We will model Jesus’ example of serving. (John 13:1-17)

TEAMWORK • We will express our unity in Christ in all our relationships.(Philippians 2:1-4)

EXCELLENCE • We will honor and glorify God in all we do. (Colossians 3:23-24)

STRATEGY

To and Through the Coach

We pursue our vision and mission through the strategy of to and through the coach. We seek ministry first to coaches hearts, marriages and families. Then, when ready, we minister through coaches to their fellow coaches, teams and athlete leaders.

Billy Graham said, “A coach will impact more people in one year than the average person will in an entire lifetime.” With the influence of a coach, FCA recognizes the most strategic way to reach more athletes is to first reach the coach.

METHODS

As FCA matures, we seek to make disciples through our methods of engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to know and grow in Christ and lead others to do the same.

ENGAGE • (1 Thessalonians 2:8)

We engage relationally by connecting with individuals and through events in many different environments by building genuine trust, sharing our lives and sharing the gospel. We strive

to connect with coaches and athletes where they are on their spiritual journey.

EQUIP • (Ephesians 4:12)

After cultivating relationships and once coaches and athletes come to faith in Christ, we want to equip them with Christ-centered training, events, resources and on-going support in what it means to be a follower of Christ, growing

in God’s Word and applying it to life.

EMPOWER • (2 Timothy 2:2)

Once equipped, we empower faithful leaders who desire to use their time, talents and treasures to help other coaches and athletes experience the gospel, grow in their faith and share Him with others. We desire to develop disciples who make disciples, assisting them so that they can in turn engage, equip and empower others to know and grow in Christ and lead others to do the same.

FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ.

FCA STATEMENT OF FAITH

COACHES

At the heart of FCA are coaches. Our role is to minister to these men and women by encouraging and equipping them to know and serve Christ right where they're at so they, in turn, can engage, equip, and empower the athletes and coaches around them.

FCA ministers to coaches through Bible studies, staff contacts, prayer support, discipleship, mentoring, resources, outreach events, conferences, and retreats.

The coaches ministry focuses on ministering to the heart of the coach first, and then through the coach by engaging them with the Four C’s of Ministry.

CAMPUS

The campus ministry is initiated and led by student-athletes and coaches on the junior high, high school, and college campuses.

Through campus huddles, team Bible studies, chapel programs, leadership trainings, Fields of Faith, and special events, student-athletes grow in Christ and impact their campuses.

FCA focuses on equipping, enabling, empowering and encouraging student-athletes, coaches and adult leaders to impact and influence their campus for Christ.

CAMP

Camps are a time of "inspiration and perspiration" for athletes and coaches to reach their potential by offering comprehensive athletic, spiritual, and leadership training.

The different types of camp include Sports Camps, Leadership Camps, Coaches Camps, Power Camps, Partnership Camps, Team Camps, and International Camps.
