Meet our Regional VP of Field Ministry - Rick Isaiah


Rick has been serving with FCA since 1999 where he started as the Urban Director. He currently serves as the VP of Field Ministry for the Great Lakes Region of Fellowship of Christian Athletes which includes Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia.

Rick is a graduate of Copley High School (1986) where he excelled in football, earning a scholarship to the University of Toledo. He has recently been inducted into the Copley High School Hall of Fame. At the University of Toledo he majored in Communications and continued to excel at football. Rick earned All-Conference honors two years in a row (89-90). He was also elected and served as one of 4-team captains by his teammates. Rick graduated from the University of Toledo in June of 1991 having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.

Upon graduation, Rick Isaiah was blessed to play professional football for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League. He played there for a year and a half. Upon leaving the Bengals he immediately put his degree to use and started working in the banking industry for over 8 years.

Rick also served as a senior pastor in Toledo for 13 years, planting a church in 2004. Rick resigned from the pastorate in 2013 to focus solely on serving Christ at FCA.  Born in Akron, Ohio, Rick has been married to his wife Tanya for 27 years, who is a Registered Nurse. They have 2 sons; Rick III (and his wife Alicia), Raevon and a daughter, Taeylor. Rick III and his wife Alicia have 3 children.
